- Looks like the bridge is on track to reopen on Friday
- I love how responsive VDOT have been on Twitter.
- Not to jinx it, but from my perspective, the closure/detours have been executed extremely well.
Crozet's community blog
The first half of 2018 is behind us, and we talked about resales vs new construction, home prices, where in Crozet homes are selling, what happened with home inventory over the past few years.
Note that this is a longer video than typical; we covered a lot.
Thanks to the Rooftop for letting us use their … Rooftop.
(Greg and IÂ are getting accustomed to doing these videos together … we will get better)

I* was riding my bicycle the other morning around 7:30, and stopped for two women trying to cross from the Piedmont Place side to the Post Office side of Crozet Avenue. They seemed perplexed for a moment when I stopped, and put my hand out to signal to the cars behind me.
One of the women said, “you don’t have to stop, the cars aren’t,” and I stayed put until they crossed.
*Really didn’t want to make this a story about me as it’s a story about Crozet & neighborliness, but as I was the one on the bike …
Reminder: 250 in Ivy closed Friday 13 July at 8pm.

I suspect there may be more wrecks on 64 when 250 is closed on Friday for two weeks. I’d like to be wrong.
Best to follow @RealCrozetVA on Twitter … I’ll do my best to tweet & retweet if there are wrecks. Or … maybe we can all try to stay in Crozet for a couple weeks! Patronize our local businesses more?

Things are about to start ramping up with Downtown Crozet … if you can make this meeting, please do.
Join us next Thursday for our monthly DCI meeting as we discuss county updates, the Main Street grant work plans, a recent meeting with the Artisan Depot, and plaza fundraising plans. As the plaza gets closer to becoming a reality, we’d love input from more community members. Come get involved in the future of downtown Crozet!
If you plan to attend, please RSVPÂ here.

Thank you to all of the volunteers who worked tirelessly to pull off one of the best days in Crozet every year.
For the parade to the music, food trucks, parking, traffic, fireworks and everything else, thank you.
I was out of town for this CCAC meeting, but we were lucky to have Daily Progress reporter Alison Wrabel and Tim Tolson tweeting, and Crozet Gazette offering the live stream.
