Ring Christmas bells for Salvation Army at Crozet Great Valu Market

via email:

Dear Friends

This Christmas Season the Crozet Lions Club is again organizing ringing bells for the Salvation Army at the Crozet Great Valu Market, and we wish to invite your members to participate in this activity again this year.
We appreciate the support of our many friends and neighbors at Tabor Presbyterian Church in helping us ring Christmas bells for the Salvation Army over the years.

We hope that you will encourage your members to participate again this year by announcing our program to your congregation in your service, in Sunday School, in your newsletter, and your bulletin. As you know, several members of the Crozet Lions Club are members of your congregation, and we have also asked them to encourage members to volunteer.

We hope your members are willing to participate in this happy, meaningful activity. If they are comfortable with using the web, you can sign up here.

Bell ringing is scheduled for Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, from December 6 through December 16, and every day from December 18-23
On weekdays we plan to ring the bells from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., and on Saturdays from10:00 until 4:00. Volunteers are asked to ring the bells for one hour with another person or with family members.

Those who are comfortable with the web can sign up at the following website: Crozet bell ringers for Salvation Army.

Others may sign up by sending an email to [email protected], or by calling (434) 409-6148.

Those who have had past experience with this activity often remark that it is very positive for both the volunteer and the donors. Frequently volunteers report, with amazement, that when they said “Thank you” to the donor, the donor would often reply enthusiastically,”Thank You for doing this”.

My children and grandchildren have very fond memories of bell ringing as a great way to introduce the Christmas season. They will be doing so again this year.

Thanks you again for your many contributions to the community.

Yours truly,
Phil Best,
For the Crozet Lions Club
