In an email on 4 July, the Crozet (Park) YMCA said:

Dear Crozet YMCA Members,

Wednesday July 6th you will begin to see orange barrels, cones, signs and a construction crew working in the parking lot to create new parking spaces, pave and add additional lighting. The parking between the large pavilion and the pool house will be closed Wednesday and Thursday, there will be handicap spots in front of the playground, please call in advance for help if needed. There will be signs to direct you to open parking areas which will change as construction progresses. We will do our best to communicate in advance through e-mail, Facebook, website and front desk flyers.

Please check out the link to have an idea of where to park: “Green” represents”Available Parking” and Red for “No Parking”, these may change daily, please allow extra time to park and enter the building safely.

The playground across from the Pool house building will remain closed during construction.
We thank you for your patience and understanding through this process and look forward to additional parking!

Update from Kim Guenther:

“With lots E and F under construction starting Monday, July 25th cars are prohibited from traveling from the front of the building to the back.
To accommodate those who wish to park around back, the gate onto Hilltop Road (Pomeroy Gate) will be open to accommodate both entering and exiting the Park.  A pedestrian safe corridor will be created along lots E and F for access to the facility’s main entrance. Pedestrian access is also possible by walking around the facility’s northeast corner to get back to the main entrance.”

Something to say?
