(let’s hope this meeting lasts less than 4 hours)

Update via email:

The CCAC meeting planned for next week is scheduled in anticipation of the county receiving an updated plan that addresses our and staff’s concerns from Frank Stoner before that date. If he is unable to turn it around that quickly, then the meeting will most likely be cancelled, so please let folks know to check the CCAC page on the county site prior to attending.

  1. We (my family) are moving to Crozet VA in the fall of 2015 (breaking ground in the Spring of 2015). We are building our last home right on Mint Springs Road, northwest of town. I would like to discuss a potential lite manufacturing use for the Barnes Lumber company property with community leaders.
I am currently in negotiations with Siemens around a couple of patent I own on wind technology. It would be light metal fabrication, computer system design, system assembly and testing facility which would employ about 25 – 50 people initially and up to 100 within 3 years. When is the next CCAC meeting ? If I am not traveling, I would like to talk briefly about my plans and discuss how this is very different from a heavy industrial use. I am retiring from my work in IT and will be doing this full time initially.. and then part time later.. [email protected]

    1. I would suggest the Albemarle County Boad of Supervisors which
are the actual elected authority over Crozet. [email protected].
Crozet is an unincorporated community. Also, the state of Vrginia
has seed money and tax benefits available for business that are
considering locating to the state. It could be very worthwhile to contact them. Good luck…
