Crozet Avenue Closing Temporarily – 27 August

Prepare accordingly.

CROZET AVENUE LANE CLOSURE SET TO BEGIN AUGUST 27

Due to the progress of the new Crozet Library construction, Crozet residents should be aware of an upcoming traffic interruption beginning Monday, August 27.  Beginning on Monday, August 27, one lane of Crozet Avenue will be closed at a time between Jarman’s Gap Road and Library Avenue to accommodate installation of a water line and stormwater sewer beneath the roadway.  Drivers should expect delays in this area between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Water and sewer services should not be impacted.  Preparatory work for the water line construction will begin next week.
This project is expected to take approximately two weeks and should be completed by Monday, September 10, 2012.

  1. Just when a brand new pavement appeared! Wow, who is managing the sequence of events here? And just in time when schools start to inconvenience the school buses.

    1. We seem to be managed by self-appointed committees that our elected govt. has defaulted to. Too bad they do not choose to do the job that they were elected to do. National Politics are nothing compared to the nonsense that is happening here. I suggested encouraging people to vote and vote often. This situation can be fixed.

      1. Nutty? Total lack of responsibility by our elected official towards
capitol projects in her district is way beyond that word. Govt. by
self appointed committee does not work. Vote early and often…

  2. From an email commenter:

Well, now that we’ve got Crozet Avenue beautifully paved, it’s time to dig it up and put a drainage pipe under it. Talk about poor planning and stupidity!!!!! Whoever figured this out should have to dig the ditch by hand.

Something to say?
