And speaking of the kitchen, Phillips has big plans there, too. Currently, the shop serves Shenandoah Joe coffee, baked goods from Goodwin Creek Farm & Bakery in Afton and Green House’s gluten-free speciality, the Skinny Jeans cookie. Phillips says Green House will also offer sandwiches, soups, salads and daily specials.
Love it! Much nicer and warmer ambiance than Mudhouse and much better food choices, a real breakfast/lunch place. Two thumbs up! Outdoor seating (so nice on the sunny November mornings, we sat there a few times) and easy parking are a plus too.
I have to agree about the breakfast. I’ve had the breakfast burrito a couple times; it is outstanding.
If you’re “old enough” to drink coffee, Green House will get your vote! If you are not “of age” (like just a few of us) you’ll still be won over by the sandwich and dessert choices. It’s a TRUE winner in downtown Crozet! <
Went there for lunch, definitely blows stanky old Mudhouse out of the water! The turkey reuben is delightful!
Stanky? Really? I presume you haven’t been to the Mudhouse yet.
Both are outstanding options that serve different niches. The breakfast and sandwiches at Greenhouse are fantastic.
Mudhouse…”stanky”? Kind of harsh. Are you one of those, who’s coffee drink is at least 20+ syllables? We are so fortunate to have a mudhouse in town. They are one of few places that takes their coffee seriously and have excellent deserts. Greenhouse is great for kids and a warm setting. Both winners. Keep em coming!
