Jenny says in the comments:

Encourage everyone to participate in the Celebration of the Crozet Volunteer Fire Departmentā€™s 100 Years of Service to the Community on Saturday, September 18, 2010. There will be a parade at 4:00 P.M. which will begin a Crozet Elementary School and move down Crozet Avenue, up Tabor Street and end at the Crozet Park. There will be Fireworks at Dark at the Crozet Park. Please recognize the men and women who train and respond to your emergencies as ā€œvolunteersā€ in our community. Letā€™s turn out to give them a Heroā€™s Thank You!!!

And the Crozet Trails Crew wants participants – both for walking in the parade and for working on the trails

We may be a young organization, but we have been doing some great work and we have a platter full of tasty trail opportunities for the future.

But we need to increase our numbers of volunteers- both on and off the trail. There is so much to do and we don’t want the CTC to lose momentum and enthusiasm.

So please come out and walk with us in the Fireman’s parade this Saturday (September 18th), even if you haven’t come out previously to work on the trails. Show your support of pedestrian and bike-friendly trails in the Crozet community by walking with us. Bring your family– kids have been a great asset to our work thus far.

Please meet at Crozet Elementary at 3:15 on Saturday afternoon. Your best bet is to park at Crozet Park (where the parade ends) and get someone to drop you off at Crozet Elementary.

If you let me know that you are coming, I’ll happily arrange a shuttle from the Park to the School.

**Also, we will continue work at the Grayrock trail on Saturday, September 25th. Mark your calendars!**

Thanks and I look forward to seeing you on Saturday!

    1. Thank you, Camille, and your Green House Coffee crew for serving our community the complimentary refreshments before, during and after CVFD’s grand parade. The cookies were DELICIOUS and the beverages, hot and cold, were EXCELLENT.

Green House will be like a little piece of home in downtown Crozet where we can all find the comforts of a smiling face and good food.

Blessings on you as you make those final preparations!

      1. Thanks Joe for such nice feedback. It was so fun to be out there serving Crozet! We are really getting excited about our Fall opening.
We will be having a Coffee, Tea & Sweet Treats Tent at the Crozet Arts and Crafts Festival in an effort to help raise money for Crozet Elementary’s Guidance Counselor, Melanie Hood, who will soon be undergoing a Bone Marrow Transplant. Hope to see many friends there!

        Sincerely, Camille Phillips
